DescriptionHi I am Taras, Senior Video Manager at Musora. We're an online music education brand on a mission to create more musicians and keep them playing longer.
If you're passionate about filmmaking and music education, become a Video Editor at Musora and help create content that inspires and educates musicians worldwide.
We are hiring ~5-6 Video Editors this year, and will keep this role open throughout 2024.

Job/Position Overview

Video Editors are responsible for all things production, focusing on editing and shooting videos. The ideal Video Editor has that self-starter motivation with a high level of initiative and emotional intelligence.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Duties:
  • Responsible for editing and filming of all video content types, especially for public-facing platforms such as YouTube
  • Liaison with Project Managers, Marketing Managers, Studio Manager and Content Director for all content types within their brand vertical
  • Instills and trains our methods for junior staff
  • Director of photography work in some value productions
  • Quality control/proofing of edited content
  • Operate cameras for film shoots in-house and offsite
  • Media asset management for raw and finalized footage
Key Responsibilities:
  • Editing videos and ensuring sheet music and educational aspects in the video are correct.
  • Owning the production workflow, which includes having a high level of initiative and the ability to solve problems ahead of time and in the moment.
  • Exposing and operating cameras that align with broadcast standards.
  • Ensuring all data and footage are securely transferred and not lost.
  • Material Resources: Footage is of the utmost importance. Losing footage could cost a lot of money and render important shoots null, especially problematic if we have high level guest artists come in.
  • Artist Relations: Ensure you speak on behalf of Musora while interacting with artists, and maintaining a positive and professional environment.

Key Qualifications Knowledge/Education/Experience
  • 5+ years of continuous experience in film/video production
  • Highly skilled in post-production workflows and editing videos
  • Skilled in operating cameras for film shoots in-house and offsite
  • Proficient in the English language (verbal and written)

What we offer you
  • $60,000-$70,000 for the Video Editor role, depending on experience.
  • Primarily onsite, with the possibility of working in a hybrid role after three months.
