Winters Instruments is a leading global manufacturer of industrial instrumentation. Winters Instruments is currently looking for a Warehouse Associate. The acceptable candidate must be a team player, highly motivated and possess a positive attitude.
Assuming the role of Technician, following are some of the key responsibilities:
- Gauge Fills
- Assist Shipping when needed
- Follows assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Experience using with basic hand and power tools and equipment (drilling and grinding machines, tapping etc.). Experience with lathe and milling machine would be an asset
- Some experience in machining shop with manual lathe and milling machines, TIG welding will be an asset.
- Considered an asset would be having brazing and welding experience.
Qualifications Required:
- 1-3 year Instrumentation Technician Apprentices will be considered.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a technician position.
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics.
- Experience in soldering and brazing
- Experience in light welding of both 304 and 316 stainless steel.
- Ability to TIG weld would be an asset.
- Work Order Self-Management
- Ability to communicate and follow verbal or written instruction.
- Work as a team member and independently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Technical Diploma or Journeyman certificate in Instrumentation will be an asset.
