SalaryLegrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associateto join the Electrial Wiring Systems Team in Vaughan, ON. The Warehouse Associate/M.H.E. Operator Support associate is responsible for performing any and all duties as prescribed by the Team Leader. Working areas include but are not limited to stock replenishment, order picking and backfilling the Lift Operator position during periods of scheduled and un-scheduled absence. The successful candidate is responsible for working in the most efficient and effective manner while following the described performance targets. It is essential that the successful candidate maintain a safe and efficient working relationship with his/her peers.
What Will You Do?
- Support and maintain a safe working environment.
- Responsible to replenish inventory (10% of role) and pick new orders (85% of role) on a daily basis.
- Back up the Lift Truck Operator during periods of scheduled and unscheduled absence. (5% of role).
- Take direction from Team Leader, assist peers as required.
- Maintain effective and efficient relations with Team members.
- Participate and support all facility and corporate initiatives.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma - Mandatory.
- Minimum of one-year related experience in a Distribution Center, Warehouse or similar.
- Reach truck & counterbalance certification, an asset.
- Strong English language skills, both written and oral.
- Strong sense of urgency and time management skills.
- Ability to use handheld RF scanning devices.
- Must be able to work both as independent contributor and within a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
