This important position is focused on 4 key functions: Communication, Organization, Inventory Control and Shipping and Receiving. In each function, the Warehouse Associate ensures that a keen eye for attention to detail, efficient and effective work practices are deployed to ensure the Warehouse is managed to a professional and proactive standard. Responsibilities
- Communicate all purchasing requests/returns to the warehouse manager.
- Ensure all staff are directed in the proper method for removing and returning inventory items from the warehouse.
- Ensure warehouse inventory is organized efficiently, there is a place for everything, and everything is in its place.
- Accurately maintain company database including stock, warehouse items and their associated locations.
- Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management.
- Picking orders for various departments and customers as necessary.
- Transporting products between warehouse and offsite storage facilities.
- Create and track daily shipment schedules with multiple carriers.
- Perform store deliveries as required.
- Verify all incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Unload trucks by Forklift and Hand.
REQUIREMENTS
- Forklift certification preferred, or an interest in Forklift training.
- Ontario Drivers License Required.
- 1+ years of warehouse experience.
- Previous experience with shipping/receiving utilizing various carriers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using safe lifting practices
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to importance.
- Customer service mentality is beneficial to ensure a positive employee and customer experience.
- High school Diploma or GED.
- Bobcat experience is an asset.
