PRIMARY PURPOSE
AFA System Ltd. is an Engineer Order Manufacturer of High-Speed Packaging Machinery, and the SHIPPER-RECEIVER is responsible for receiving and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from AFA Systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The SHIPPER-RECEIVER is responsible to produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Such duties include, but are not limited to:
- Determining method of shipment and arranging shipping; preparing bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
- Assembling containers and crates, recording contents manually or by computer, packing goods to be shipped and affixing identifying information and shipping instructions
- Overseeing the loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
- Inspecting and verifying incoming goods against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
· Arranging to pick up and/or deliver parts to customers and/or suppliers.
· Creating and maintaining STOCK LOCATIONS to support flow in and out of the Stockroom.
- Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Qualifications and Requirements:
· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills (other languages an asset).
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little to no oversight.
- Excellent common sense, decision-making abilities, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with staff, management, customers, and suppliers and work as an effective team member.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
· Valid driver’s license preferred.
· Strong MS Office Suite skills (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
