Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Carry out shipping, receiving, and other warehousing duties as required. Accurately and expediently pick orders to supply packaging lines. Process packaging line returns and restock warehouse. Pick and stage finished products for shipment. Prepare appropriate shipping/receiving documentation. Participate in cycle counting activities. Safely operate and maintain power equipment such as fork trucks. Document all material moves/transactions in JDE.

• Safely operate and maintain material handling equipment including all forklift trucks, Stretch wrap machine, Drum lifters, Docks and overhead doors, etc.
• Safely operate docks and automatic overhead doors, ensuring that doors are fully open before carriers enter or leave the building.
• Observe all safety rules, practices and procedures. Correct or report to immediate Supervisor/Group Leader any unsafe working conditions observed.
• Work in a GMP compliant manner at all times.
• Clear understanding of FIFO.
• Courier internal mail deliveries
• Work cooperatively with teammates and participate in training activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
• Correct or report to Group Leader any inventory discrepancies. Assist in quality and material reconciliation deviation investigations.
• Sort and maintain inventories of skids.
• Participate in the cycle count program (as necessary).
• Participate in audits as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Shift work may be required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma. Must be proficient in the ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical functions. Must also be able to follow detailed instructions and effectively communicate with teammates. Must have the ability to complete documentation accurately and legibly. Prior work related experience required.
