FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Fiesta Farms Inc. is a family run grocery store located in Toronto.
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our receiving floor operations.

Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks. No dock.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Provable 2-5 year experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Up to 50lbs.

Requirements:

- Valid Forklift Operator certification. Propane counterbalance 3000lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Able to compartmentalize work.

- Keep all work area clean and free of debris.

- Able to work in all weather conditions.

- Must be able to communicate effectively and proficiently.

- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

- Must be able to do repetitive tasks.

- Must be able to handle heavy loads.

- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch and lift up to 50lbs.

- Must have excellent hand to eye co-ordination.

- Able to work the odd Saturday is a plus.

-Must wear Steel toe boots.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
