Our Team:
Materials Management and control are vital to the success of our operations. Members of the teamwork across different locations to ensure that material will be available and delivered as required. A safety-first attitude while operating a range of warehouse equipment and maintaining an organized, clean, and professional work site is a priority.
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Attendant to join our Ontario Operations Department in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a permanent position.
The Warehouse Attendant reports and travels to multiple sites. In this position you will:
- Review all maintenance and operation requests, retrieve parts, and deliver as required.
- Receive all goods arriving at the warehouse, ensuring accuracy, quality, and entry into the computer system.
- Ensure a safety-first standard exists on a day-to-day basis by doing regular safety inspections on equipment and area.
- Organize and store documents pertaining to all purchase order receipts and reservations.
- Respond to internal and external client inquiries regarding materials.
- Execute proper techniques for inventory management.
- Maintain warehouse facilities across site to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Operate dock levelers, power doors, various forklifts and material handling equipment.
About You
Education:
- A grade 12 level education or GED equivalency is required.
Experience:
- 3+ years of relative warehouse and purchasing related experience is preferred.
- Experience with SAP or related software is preferred.
- Experience and knowledge with software systems involved in warehousing inventories, ordering, and tracking of materials in route is Preferred.
Skills:
- Must be able to pass the required examinations, and read and understand safety instructions, books of rules, instructions and regulations, timetables, bulletins, waybills, placards, and other written or printed material.
- Must have a good understanding of Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and ensure work is conducted accordingly.
- Ability to do the following: Climbing, Crouching/Squatting, Kneeling/Crawling, Trunk bending, stooping, and reaching up and out for material.
- Ability to handle heavy physical work.
