Warehouse Lead Hand/Forklift Operator

The position of Warehouse Lead Hand / Forklift Operator for Heartwood requires skill, efficiency, physical ability, and a positive attitude. This position seeks an individual with a positive skill set who can work within an environment of a small, dedicated core staff. .The successful applicant will help oversee the warehouse, reporting to the warehouse manager

Duties and Responsibilities

This cross-functional position will include multiple warehousing roles including, but not limited to:

• Aiding the warehouse manager in supervising the functions and working of the all warehouse staff
• Aiding the warehouse supervisor in delegating and assigning tasks and targets to ensure efficiency of all warehouse staff.
• Picking
• Receiving
• Shipping
• Cycle Counts / Inventory Issues
• Cleaning / Maintenance (building and/or machinery)
• Loading
• Projects as assigned by warehouse manager
• Providing holiday relief for the warehouse manager

Skills / Qualifications / Requirements

• Should have excellent leadership and administration skills and abilities
• Strong motivational skills and effective team building capabilities
• Ability to competently and effectively manage time and complete assigned work
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. independently
• Team player, positive individual with attention to detail
• Must have own transportation (no bus service to this location)
• Forklift certification of either Class 1,2 or 5.
• CSA approved work boots/shoes
• must follow all COVID safety protocols

Benefits / Highlights

• Starting wage starting at $25/hr depending on experience, plus $0.85-1.00 extra per hour in profit share after 3 months.
• Full Time work Monday to Friday - no seasonal shutdown
• Hours currently 7:00 am - 3:30 PM M-F
