Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Checker plays an integral role in the warehouse by checking, organizing product for multi-channel facets of the business. The Checker is a supply chain and logistics professional who is responsible for filling customer orders and packaging them in a manner that meets company standards. The Checker is required to ensure the product is accurately gathered and placed in the appropriate designation in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
- Responsible for reading shipping orders to determine quantity, quality and accuracy of items packed.
- Inspect orders to ensure product being shipped and packaged meets the expectations of the consumer
- Responsible for ensuring the product picked is accurate and appropriately packaged and staged
- Follow product selection procedure as established by the company
- Wrap orders when applicable
- Accurately label products
- Responsible for garbage disposal, cardboard recycling, and the disposal of broken
- Report discrepancies and/or damaged goods to the Operations Manager
- Perform general housekeeping duties within the warehouse.
- Complete other tasks, as assigned by management.
- Comply with company, store, and warehouse policies.
- Adhere to Health & Safety policies and report any observed safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of previous warehouse experience as a Checker / Quality Control
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High attention to detail/Quality Orientation
- Experience using warehouse management systems.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self motivated to drive completion of task accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs.
