Warehouse Team Lead(Afternoon Shift)

CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Team Lead

You will be responsible for the prompt and accurate assembly of customer orders from the freezer facilities based on a strong knowledge of product and product availability. You will confirm that all orders are accurate and assembled free from defects in a neat presentation. Other responsibilities will include load/unload shipments of incoming supplies and prepare shipments for delivery. The Team lead will be required to follow all safe work policies and procedures and work to maintain a clean work environment.

Location: Britannia and Kennedy, Mississauga, ON

Reporting to: Shift Supervisor

Shift timings: Mon to fri-1:30pm - 10pm

Your duties as a “Team Lead” will include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Responsible for the supervision of prompt and accurate assembly of customer orders form the warehouse facilities based on a strong knowledge of product and product availability

· Read, inspect and confirm that all orders are accurate and assembled free from defects in a neat presentation on pallets; report any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.

· Train all staff in safe picking methods and policies to load/unload shipments of incoming supplies and prepare shipments for delivery.

· Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.

· Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.

· Operate all warehouse equipment in a safe manner to move product, follow all safe work policies and procedures and work to maintain a clean warehouse environment according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.

· Read work orders, assemble customer orders from stock, and place orders on pallets.

· Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable code dating and report discrepancies to immediate supervisor.

· Prepare orders for shipment and move orders to the staging area for shipment.

· Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

· Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.

· Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.

· Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.

· Assist in counting of physical inventory and verifying stock and identifying losses.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED.

· Forklift certification preferred. (Walkie ride on and Raymond Reach)

· Repetitive heavy lifting or moving up to 50 lbs required

· Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

· Basic mathematical skills.

· Working knowledge of safe lifting methods.

· Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.

· Attention to detail in all areas of work.

· Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
