Warehouse Technician

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take inventory of materials shipped or received;
• Store, count, weigh, and open materials received;
• Load and unload trucks, and other vehicles;
• Fill warehouse orders;
• Assist in hose assemblies;
• Label boxes to identify materials;
• Dispose of leftover packing materials such as wooden crates, pallets, and cardboard;
• Investigate errors and take corrective actions;
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Prior manufacturing or production experience is considered an asset;
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn;
• Strong work ethic, reliable and committed to the success of the team;
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment;
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are cumbersome and heavy;
• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing;
• Understanding of inventory;
• Awareness of Health & Safety and Security measures in place to prevent injuries;
• Understanding of how to dispose of hazardous waste material in a safe manner;
• Ability to create labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage;
• Ability to work well with others;
• Related licensing and certification an asset (i.e. valid Forklift Certification)
