Job Description
The warehouse team member works under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Lead as part of the warehouse team.
Note - this is a physically demanding position requiring the frequent lifting of heavy materials up to 80lbs in weight.
The warehouse team member is responsible for:
the accurate and timely preparation of client orders and inter-branch transfers;
- the accurate receipt and expedient warehousing of inter-branch transfers, vendor POs, and client returns;
- developing constructive professional relationships with internal and external customers including but not limited to Ames team members, clients, end users, carrier drivers and business partners;
- the safe execution of work functions
- adhering to all company safety rules
- following established best practices, the active participation in their review as well as the development of new best practices where applicable
- performing inventory checks and cycle counts as required;
- working effectively with the Ames software suite of programs to facilitate daily functions
- communicating effectively during all interactions
- being an active team player with proven ability to work independently
- offering the highest quality standards of customer service
- the safe operation of powered mobile equipment; reach, walkie, and sit-down forklifts

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
