Warehouse Worker – Calgary (Shift Flexibility Required)

About the opportunity
ABCRC is seeking to fill multiple full-time permanent Warehouse Worker roles. The position will report to an Operations Supervisor and will be primarily responsible for the efficient movement of product through the warehouse for bailing or crushing. This is a unionized role, and you must be amenable to joining the United Food and Commercial Workers Canada Union, Local No. 401 upon hire. The starting hourly rate is $20.74 and graduates to a maximum of $25.93 following 1561 working hours, with annual increases per the Collective Agreement.
In this role, you will be responsible to (but not limited):
Ø Adhere to ABCRC’s Health & Safety and Workplace Policies and Procedures
Ø Ensure that your work area is kept clean and clear of debris
Ø Unload, palletize and receive product
Ø Unload ‘Mega’ bags onto conveyor to compact/crush empty beverage containers
Ø Re-bundle of the ‘Mega’ bags
Ø Key/scan information into the Warehouse Management System as required
Ø Count/Validate product received
The successful candidate will have:
Ø High school diploma or equivalent (Mathematical skills are required)
Ø Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in a warehouse or industrial type setting
Ø Forklift driving an asset
Ø Ability to speak, read and write in English
Ø Ability to perform physically demanding tasks which include bending, lifting and carrying
Ø Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ø Respectful workplace attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
Ø Able to function effectively as a team player
