Warehouse/parts person

Profab Manufacturing Ltd. located in Chemainus B.C. is looking for a Warehouse person to join their team.

Profab has been a leader in the industry of logging trailer manufacturing and truck rig-outs in the Pacific Northwest for 25 years. In 2017 Profab purchased and began manufacturing Vanguard self-loaders, previously based in Maple Ridge. As Profab continues to establish itself as an OEM and reach out to other industries, there is a growing need for additional manufacturing support.

In this position, you will assist in the Parts Department. You will be required to prepare standard work documentation, and standard operating procedures including preparing packages for outbound shipments completing waybills receiving and offloading freight trucks with a forklift, and being a liaison to our freight vendors. Additional tasks will include checking inbound freight with the packing list to ensure accurate receiving. Parts pulling for our internal manufacturing process. Planning and material inventory and continuous improvement efforts for both manufacturing and Parts Department processes.

Requirements / Qualifications

• An understanding/familiarity with warehousing / safety regulations
• A sound knowledge of Shipping/Receiving principles
• Good numeracy and computer skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of material properties
• An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods
• Good problem-solving skills
• Experience with forklifts is an asset
• The ability to work as part of a team or individually
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must have valid driver’s license

Salary: $18.00-$29.84 per hour
