Workforce Inclusion Coordinator

Women Building Futures is hiring for the role of Workforce Inclusion Coordinator to bring administrative support to our Workforce Inclusion team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Workforce Inclusion, the successful applicant will support the work of the Workforce Inclusion team; tracking data, metrics and providing administrative support.


This position is open to candidates in Edmonton, Calgary, or Fort McMurray, Alberta.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Workforce Inclusion Lead, Specialist & Senior Manager to support inbox and calendar management, and expense reports.
  • Act as a key resource to the Senior Manager, Workforce Inclusion, and the department. In doing so, you will plan and arrange meetings, prepare meeting documents, and liaise on implementing strategic priorities. You will research and synthesize information to prepare briefing notes, meeting materials, and related reports. You will schedule meetings with internal stakeholders to share committee meeting outcomes, documentation, and action items.
  • Work collaboratively all members of the External Relations and Growth department including, Workforce Partnerships, Community and Indigenous Relations and Donor Relations.
  • Support and execute internal processes for cross department coordination of impact reporting for funders.
  • Maintain WBF’s databases including account and contact profiles, meetings, history and feedback for reporting and planning
  • Coordinate meetings and logistics for guest speakers, students, and employers.
  • Coordinate employer calls/meetings and prepare information packages for the Employer of Choice membership program.
  • Support Workproud sessions as needed.
  • Support the External Relations and Growth department with onboarding of new team members.
  • Support and participate in external engagements, and possibly other locations in Alberta, as needed.
  • Attend WBF events in the local area, as needed.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Ability to make promises that you deliver on, while striving to offer the highest level of support to all stakeholders.
  • Flexible; able to address the challenges faced by industry partners- sometimes outside of business hours.
  • Ability to handle sensitive discussions with a strong understanding of customer service and urgency.
  • Strong understanding of customer service and sense of urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills comfortability in a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to have in person meetings as well as virtual on a variety of platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Google etc.
  • Alignment with WBF’s values and culture, including a commitment to continuous learning, and creating safe, inclusive workplaces with respect for all employees, applicants, students, and stakeholders.

Education & Experience


  • 2+ years of proven experience in industry or the non-for-profit sector.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience managing databases is considered an asset.
