Yard Associate (Wash Bay Attandent)

2 month Contract Temporary Full Time Hours

The Position. Bercon Rentals Inc. is offering an excellent opportunity for a full-time temporary Yard Associate: General Laborer/Wash Pad Attendant reporting to the Shop Foreman who is ready to grow their career with the leading company in the industry. To continue our tremendous success and unparalleled growth, we are searching for a qualified and ambitious individual to perform a variety of manual tasks to ensure smooth branch operation. Your primary objective will be to provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff and other branch personnel engaged in meeting the needs of customers. Your strong work ethic, reliability and positive attitude will make you an asset to our branch and entire organization.

Main duties of the position include (but are not limited to):

• Washing and detailing both the exterior and interior of rental equipment
• Maintain shop, yard, Wash Bay and power washer stations organization and cleanliness
• Picking up or delivering parts when required
• Dispose all shop garbage including cardboard and steel including yard debris in appropriate bins
• Snow removal and required salting in yard and building walkways
• Other duties as required

Qualifications or Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Eagerness to learn
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and strong teamwork skills
• Attention to safety
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to work outside throughout the year
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
• A valid G driver's license
• Past experience car and truck detailing preferred
• Equipment experience preferred e.g. forklift, rough terrain forklift, aerial work platform (AWP)

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
