Job description

Leadership:

  • Work with the Director of Youth Services to oversee the operations of all aspects of the Youth Services Program including outreach/in-home support, the housing program and the visitation program.
  • Work with the management team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals for the organization and Youth Services Department
  • Work with the management team to oversee Human Resources for the department including but not limited to hiring, orientation, evaluation, scheduling and discipline
  • Work with the Director of Youth Services to ensure staff are in compliance with agency standards
  • Ensure programs and services are aligned with strategic direction to advance the mission & vision of the organization
  • Lead and deliver outstanding customer service to staff, community partners, donors, visitors and volunteers ensuring all are treated with respect and dignity

Program Management:

  • Plan and monitor day-to-day operations of departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Work with MSS and program staff to case plan and support families
  • Keep accurate records of Incident Reports
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of organization procedures and systems within the department
  • Report any incidents immediately to the Director of Youth Services
  • Regularly review and revise department procedures to ensure standards are up to date
  • Develop operational plans that promote long-term success and growth in the department
  • Work with the management team to ensure the department on-call system is being managed and maintained including working on-call as per the determined schedule
  • Provide direct support to youth who access services when required
  • Complete program reports as required by funders
  • Work with MSS to coordinate appointments and medical care of youth
  • Coordinate programming for youth
  • Ensure youth participates in programming and attends appointments
  • Maintain, strengthen and develop new relationships with community resources that contribute to the Youth’s quality of life and in keeping with PHR’s mission and values
  • Work with the Director of Youth Services to create routine and structure for the youth in the Youth Home
  • Act as primary contact for the youth homes with other agencies
  • Facilitate the growth and development of the youth residing in the homes and youth support workers in crisis management and crisis communication skills

Financial Administration:

  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of each bank account and submit to the Director of Operations
  • Work closely with the Director of Youth Services and Director of Operations to complete payroll

Other Duties:

  • Attend training as required by the Executive Director and Director of Youth Services
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, fundraising events and functions as required
  • Participate in Prairie Harm Reduction events and other community events as required
  • Provide support to the management team as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $26.00 per hour
