Job Description
What will you do?
- Gain knowledge on retail banking, including the specifics of retail products, enterprise data systems and Credit risk management.
- Support a major analytics project where you can contribute to investigating and applying design improvements in the following areas: data sourcing pipeline, data preparation, data feature engineering and storage solutions. Also work with large, enterprise level datasets leveraging standardized RBC tools such as SQL, Python etc.
- Assist with preparing monitoring dashboards and documentation for governance or other processes and become comfortable communicating and dealing with senior members of the team
Must-have
- Desire to learn and an eagerness to make a meaningful contribution to the team environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with SQL/Teradata or other database management systems
- Experience in Python/R or other mathematical / statistical programming languages.
- Ability to handle and organize large amounts of data and effectively summarize / present it to other stakeholders
Nice-to-have
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of banking and finance fundamental concepts

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2024 Student placement with a start date of May 2024, and end date of August 2024. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2024 ; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2024), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
