Job Summary

Support a major analytics project in Credit Infrastructure Strategy team where you will contribute to investigating and applying design improvements in the following areas: data sourcing pipeline, data preparation, data feature engineering and storage solutions. Also work with large, enterprise level datasets leveraging standardized RBC tools such as SQL, Python etc.

What will you do?

  • Gain knowledge on retail banking, including the specifics of retail products, enterprise data systems and Credit risk management.
  • Support a major analytics project where you can contribute to investigating and applying design improvements in the following areas: data sourcing pipeline, data preparation, data feature engineering and storage solutions. Also work with large, enterprise level datasets leveraging standardized RBC tools such as SQL, Python etc.
  • Assist with preparing monitoring dashboards and documentation for governance or other processes and become comfortable communicating and dealing with senior members of the team

Must-have

  • Desire to learn and an eagerness to make a meaningful contribution to the team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with SQL/Teradata or other database management systems
  • Experience in Python/R or other mathematical / statistical programming languages.
  • Ability to handle and organize large amounts of data and effectively summarize / present it to other stakeholders

Nice-to-have

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of banking and finance fundamental concepts

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2024 Student placement with a start date of May 2024, and end date of August 2024. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2024 ; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2024), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
