Please note: This posting is for a 4 month student placement with a start date of May 2024, and end date in August 2024. In order to be eligible for this 4-month student position, you must either: be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2024 ; or if you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2024), you must require the full 4-month work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
Please ensure that you meet these eligibility requirements before applying - candidates who apply but are found to be ineligible will not be considered.
What will you do?
- Craft compelling written content for RBC Wealth Management Canada’s various internal channels including editorial, newsletter content and webpage writing
- Proactively seek opportunities to contribute and support various projects within the communications department
- Hone your storytelling skills by helping produce creative multimedia content (i.e. videos, podcasts, etc.)
- Build your network across RBC and RBC Wealth Management through engaging training and networking opportunities
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Communications, PR, Media Relations, Journalism or Business educational background preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail with project management capabilities
- Motivation and a strong desire to learn
- Creativity and curiosity
- A collaborative, team-player mindset
Nice to have
- Previous Corporate Communications/Public Relations experience
- Familiarity with web content publishing tools such as WordPress or OpenText
- Design skills
