Job description
As an Account Executive, you will be selling woodworking machinery to manufacturers across Ontario. You will primarily be selling to purchasing departments & senior management. This role is to support an existing territory while growing the business through cold & warm outreach. This is a replacement role and you will be reporting to the regional sales manager. The base salary is $75,000 - $80,000 in the first year (OTE $150,000).

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:
Head Office - Mississauga, Ontario
Working on the road/remote
The sales territory is West Ontario (Guelph to Windsor) and North Ontario (Collingwood, Owen Sound, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, etc.)
Full-time - Monday to Friday (some evenings and weekends required)
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
2-3 years of outside sales experience
Experience selling Capital Equipment
Experience selling manufacturing equipment considered an asset
Experience selling to industrial manufacturing companies considered an asset
Experience selling to purchasing managers
Post-secondary degree
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Basic technology skills
Zoom/Teams - Advanced
Excel - Basic
PowerPoint - Basic MS Word - Basic
CRM - Basic

You will be selling to purchasing departments and senior management
SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:
Average project size is $50,000 to upwards of $15,000,000
Average length of sales cycle 6 - 9 months

Existing customers in the database to get in touch with and drive new business
OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:
Occasional overnight travel (trade shows, training, occasional client visits)

Mentoring
Classroom
3 - 4 weeks of sales training
1 - 2 months of technical training
Within 3-4 weeks you will be selling to customers
