Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible of handling daily accounting tasks, which include Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions for North American accounts.
Key accountabilities

• Completion of month-end closing and reporting to head office for specified entities.
• Responsible for journal entry creation and data management (GL) in SAP systems.
• Responsible for invoice entry creation and management for entities in QuickBooks.
• Assists, when required, in the day-to-day accounting operations.
• Assists with the year-end financial audit, and other government audits.
• Preparation and completes the necessary clearings and reconciliations as advised by the head office.

• Completed bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• CPA Certification or in progress.
• 2-3 years of experience in an accounting firm or other relevant experience.
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet dynamic business needs.
• Advanced technical skills in MS Excel and ERP aptitude.
• Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
• Demonstrates leadership and entrepreneurship.
• Strong in analytics and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and accuracy in detail.
• Effective time management skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Works effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Effective communicator in both written and spoken English and French.
