Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible of handling daily accounting tasks, which include Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions for North American accounts.
Key accountabilities
- Completion of month-end closing and reporting to head office for specified entities.
- Responsible for journal entry creation and data management (GL) in SAP systems.
- Responsible for invoice entry creation and management for entities in QuickBooks.
- Assists, when required, in the day-to-day accounting operations.
- Assists with the year-end financial audit, and other government audits.
- Preparation and completes the necessary clearings and reconciliations as advised by the head office.
Qualifications

- Completed bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- CPA Certification or in progress.
- 2-3 years of experience in an accounting firm or other relevant experience.
- Strong work ethic and flexibility to meet dynamic business needs.
- Advanced technical skills in MS Excel and ERP aptitude.
- Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
- Demonstrates leadership and entrepreneurship.
- Strong in analytics and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills and accuracy in detail.
- Effective time management skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Works effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Effective communicator in both written and spoken English and French.
