Our client, a well-respected law firm located in Toronto, is looking to add an Accountant to their team!
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing and completing all payables, including paying all vendors and billing/collecting from businesses
- Bookkeeping
- Completing the accounting functions for settlements of legal files, including requesting funds from clients, following up, and arranging for payments
- Posting disbursements, data entry
- Processing payments of invoices
- Monitor and review billing systems to ensure the system is kept current
- Following up with clients on aged accounts receivable and resolving any issues
- Process pre-bills and final billings on a monthly or on-request basis
- Troubleshooting and resolving billing issues with external clients
- Liaising with lawyers regarding any budgeting requirements
- Ensuring the compliance of billing arrangements including inputting bills and budgets into client billing systems
