About the role
We’re looking for a Accounting Specialist, Finance-Investment to join our growing team!
The Accounting Specialist, Finance-Investment will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Investments reporting and the investment teams in the execution of their activities.

What you’ll do here:
- Producing investment-related financial information for various reports (financial statements, management reports, statutory reports P&C-1, etc.);
- Executing and reconciling the general ledger to various analytical databases
- Preparing entries and analyses (including ad hoc requests from senior management and Board material);
- Participating to implementation and maintaining financial reporting systems;
- Developing and implementing new processes, including improving the monthly closing process to produce high-quality financial information;
- Maintain a robust internal control environment. Participate in updating 52-109 documentation and ensure the accuracy of the verification evidence for testing.
- The Accounting Specialist will be part of a team of 3-4 Accounting Specialists that share the responsibility of supervising an intern.
What you bring to the table:
- Existing knowledge or strong interest/curiosity for investments in general.
- Minimum one to three years relevant experience. Audit experience in a BIG 4 firm an asset.
- Professional designation CPA and/or CFA or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Fast learning, agility and adaptability to change.
- Skills in written and oral communication (both French and English) and interpersonal relations.
- Discipline, autonomy and professionalism.
- Knowledge of Oracle in Cloud, reporting cubes and Power BI an asset.
