Colonial Auto Parts, Atlantic Canada's largest independent auto parts supplier, is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk.
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This is a vital role within our organization, as it directly impacts our financial operations.
Duties:
· Verify accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
· Code and enter invoices into the accounting system
· Prepare and perform check runs
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
· Maintain organized records of all Accounts Payable transactions
· Assist with month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent and an accounting diploma / certificate from a training institute preferred or a combination of experience and education
· Three years’ experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
· Proficient in using accounting software
· Experience with Sage 300 would be a definite asset
· Proficiency in Excel
· Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
An acceptable law enforcement letter of clearance is a requirement for hiring.
