ClaimsPro LP - Shared Services Accounts Receivable Specialist, Full-Time, Hybrid (Edmonton, AB) Job Responsibilities
- Record, update and maintain collection notes within SCM systems
- Investigating and resolving payment issues and client inquiries
- Investigating and resolving unapplied/misc. payments
- Liaise internally with team members, Operations and Management
- Issuing past due letters to overdue accounts using SCM systems
- Identify areas of collections including follow-up
- Identifying items for write off or potential 3rd party collection requirements
- Assist and respond to audit inquiries
- Review of client retainer monthly
- Assigning and completing operation/client special request (Work Orders)
- Review and approve weekly client credit refunds
- Reconciliation of monthly accounts to GL
- Ad Hoc report pulling
- Assistance to Administrative Assistant when needed
- Assistance to Allocation team when needed, including AI cheque validation
- Team email inbox management
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade twelve diploma
- Preference will be given to candidates with or working towards accounting certificate or diploma
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong Word and intermediate Excel skills
- Previous business to business insurance experience is an asset but not required
- Demonstrated proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Previous experience within a dynamic team will be given preference
- Demonstrated behaviors showing initiative behaviors and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Demonstrated professionalism and work ethics
- Proven ability to contribute to and work well within a fast-paced and high volume team environment
