ACS Technical Sales Manager - 18-Month Contract

Job Description

Alltech Crop Science is is currently seeking an individual for the position of Technical Sales Manager 18-Month Contract, start date flexible. This individual should have a degree in agronomy, crop science or a related field and relevant experience in the agronomic sector is preferred.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for managing the growth and development of the region in the provision of plant nutrient products
• Home office based with travel required throughout the region in the fulfillment of duties that include Technical Sales support of the regional offices and distributors, key account management, training and presentations, grower consultations and product application inquiries
• Work in conjunction with Sales Manager to promote, build, and maintain business relationships.
• Provide technical information, product knowledge, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Work in conjunction with internal and external researchers and departments on trials and new product development
• Present internal and external seminars, webinars, and technical training.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong background in agronomy coupled with a general working knowledge of the agricultural sector.
• Possess a working knowledge of a variety of crops, plant and soil nutrient products, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the market
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree, crop science, or a related field
• Must be a self‐starter, highly motivated individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be flexible
• Superior time management skills with the ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and manage multiple deadlines in tight time constraints
• Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills
• Management skills with a proactive approach
