Job description

A Preferred employer in Watford is seeking an Entry Level Administrator to join their team. This role will involve a variety of tasks ranging from basic accounts payable to providing essential administrative and personal support for management. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of proven administrative experience and will possess excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a strong desire to grow with the company. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal assistant duties as requested.
  • Work with management to perform basic accounts payable and bookkeeping tasks as needed.
  • Greet and direct incoming visitors and deliveries appropriately.
  • Answer phones and respond to email inquiries in a prompt, professional manner.
  • Perform key operational tasks efficiently, meeting daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and record meeting minutes.
  • Book flights and arrange travel for company executives.
  • File important documents such as reports, meeting notes, emails, and letters.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies.
  • Handle company correspondence, including emails, letters, packages, and phone calls.
  • Maintain and create office records and databases containing personnel, financial, and office data.
  • Work closely with the HR Coordinator to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Pay attention to detail to maintain a high level of accuracy in work tasks and communications.
  • Adapt and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Display leadership skills to make quick decisions when necessary.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years' experience in an office environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a quiet environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Leadership qualities to take initiative and make decisions.
  • Handle sensitive information confidentially.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
