As an IT Analyst at the Lanigan Potash Mine, you will be part of the Lanigan IT team and the larger Potash and Nutrien IT teams. A very talented IT generalist, you will be responsible for providing on site Tier 1-3 technical support.
This position reports to the Director, Potash IDS.
What you will do:
- Overall day-to-day responsibility for all the IT Systems at Lanigan
- Support for end user technology including workstations, peripherals, mobile devices, and applications
- Coordinate and facilitate activities such as hardware and application upgrades
- Provide support for Cisco network infrastructure that include wired and wireless networks (switches, firewalls, telephony and wireless)
- Provide support for Windows Servers in a VMware environment
- Hands on work in the Lanigan data centers
- Work closely with IT partners across Nutrien (site, Potash, wholesale, and enterprise) in evaluating and coordinating activities and advocating on behalf of the Lanigan business unit
- Take lead roles in IT projects and initiatives at site
- Work in collaboration with the site Operational Technologies (OT) personnel and help establish a synergy between IT and OT domains of work
- Provide excellent IT customer support for all users at Lanigan
What you will bring:
- 2+ years related experience in an IT role preferably in a mining or industrial environment
- Education, training, or additional experience that is equivalent to a typical degree or diploma from a recognized university or technical school in Computer Systems Technology, Computer Information Systems, or similar discipline
- Certifications from Cisco, VMWare and Microsoft will be considered an asset
