Job Purpose:
Exchanger Industries is seeking an application developer to assist with our in-house projects, including developing a web database application to replace our existing Excel production templates written in Visual Basic for Applications.
Specific Responsibilities:
· The incumbent will be tasked with the continuous improvement efforts related to our Customer Requirements Document, ideally developing a new UI/UX for the Estimating tool.
· The choice of web development platform has not been made. We expect the chosen candidate to assist with:
· the selection of the framework
· the project scope
· application design
· development
· Development work on other in-house applications as required.
· This position may be asked to assist with the broader IT support requirements at the company, dependent upon IT background.d
Reporting Relationships / Accountabilities:
- This position reports to the IT Manager
Qualifications & Skills:
· Prior experience in developing an application from high level vision through to completion; agile project management, stakeholder engagement and management
· Proven Excel VBA development experience (required)
· Modern web database sourcing and development experience (required)
· Python (desired)
· Javascript
· .Net
· Other web frameworks as preferred
· ideal candidate may also have an information technology background
· Strong oral and written communication skills
