Who we're looking for
Apprentice/Journeyman CATV Technician who will work out of our White Rock office. Reporting to the Manager, Field Operations, the successful candidate will be implementing, activating, and maintaining our various networks.

What you'll do
-Respond and resolve plant and customer issues arising from the installation and operation of Rogers products and services not limited to High-Speed Internet and/or cable services in a Journeyman/Apprentice role.
-Respond to customer reported service problems or referrals from within Rogers involving analogue, digital and fibre delivered services
-Detect, diagnose, and correct problems affecting the services provided to our customers in a safe and controlled manner
-Contribute to the growth of all Rogers products and services through promotion and sale of our products
-Work with other staff to ensure the correction of customer problems in an effective and timely manner
-Operate and understand test equipment related to the maintenance of 2-way coaxial and fibre systems including system analyzers, field strength meters and leakage monitors
-Maintain accurate system records and support documentation in relation to all types of work orders
-Ensure the vehicle, test equipment and tools are maintained in excellent condition
-Perform connections and adding services including Internet, Cable Television, Digital Phone, Digital Cable Terminals (DCTs), VCRs and audio equipment
-Promote a positive image of Rogers products and services while providing exceptional customer service
-Various other duties as required
What you bring
-Journeyman accreditation or ability to meet Apprenticeship program requirements including successful completion of Common Core Electronics program.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office programs and related Internet applications
-Able to work with others in a team environment as well as deal with the public
-Goal oriented and motivated with the ability to work well independently
-Able to perform work safely in all types of conditions including aerial services
-Possess a valid driver’s license and must provide a driver’s abstract annually
-Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
-Ability to work various shifts including weekends and evenings
-A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
