Remuneration: $55,000.00 -- $60,000.00

How You’ll Make a Difference:
- Advocate for the client through brief writing and submissions.
- Attendance at mediation, pretrial, examinations for discovery and client meetings with the assigned lawyer to better assist the client’s proceeding, as required
- Attend internal meetings to ensure everyone is up to date on the claims you’re working on
- Provide assistance with the client intake process and respond to both basic and complex client inquiries by e-mail and/or telephone to ensure that documents are processed, and any obstacles are anticipated and dealt with
- Effectively communicate with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, identify client solutions and understand current client activity
- Participate in office-wide projects, including training and process improvement
- Attendance at Motion Court, Trial Scheduling Court, Speak to Court, and other Court or Tribunal appearances as required, on routine matters

Requirements:
- Law Degree: Completion or near-completion of a law degree from an accredited law school.
- Articling Placement: Enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in an articling program approved by the Law Society of Ontario.
