I'm supporting one of our clients in the distribution sector, in their search for an Assembly supervisor.

Responsibilities:

- Allocate the team according to shift priorities and operational needs;
- Evaluate and ensure operational productivity of assembly and implement
action plans to minimize planning and execution variances;
- Monitor the productivity of team leaders under his/her responsibility, and
subsequently of the workers in their charge;
- Promote OHS standards and procedures to be followed in the event of a work
accidents;
- Ensure that the team works in a safe environment and complies with
OHS standards;
- Identify training needs within the team, coach workers and apply corrective
measures as required;
- Identify quality and inventory management issues, and propose action plans to
the manager;
- Ensure that the assembly team has at its disposal, at all times, the tools and
materials required for smooth operations;
- Contribute to operational fluidity within the department
- Analyze and make recommendations regarding the work environment and
equipment used by the team;
- Supervise the collection of data used to produce KPIs and validate their
integrity;
- Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement procedures in the
department;
- Maximize resources according to absences and operational needs;
- Verify and validate timesheets in Kronos software;
- Participate in the recruitment and development of department members;
- Review and ensure the integrity of various reports for the department, and explain
discrepancies in reports.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in administration, supply chain, operations management, or
equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar position;
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and develop a team;
- Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time;
- Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Ability to interpret performance indicators;
- Good communication skills;
- Organized, rigorous and detail-oriented;
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume environment;

PROCESS: Initial interview with Gabriel Lemoine, Fed Supply Recruitment Consultant - followed by an interview with the company's Human Resources Manager and Position Manager.
