Assistant Site Supervisor

Alquinn Homes is looking for a new Assistant Site Supervisor to join our construction team. We are looking for an motivated individual who is excited for new challenges learning opportunities within our local, community-focused, family run company.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor and/or Project Manager, as the Assistant Site Supervisor you will oversee all on-site general residential construction duties. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance is followed both with the quality of construction as well as health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist with all aspects of residential new-home builds
- Utilize safety policies and procedures to maintain and promote a safe work environment on all sites
- Working alongside trades and supplies in a positive manner
- Monitor and enforce high quality of work to meet company standards
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes
- Collaborate with Site Supervisor to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise
- Maintain accurate project documentation including safety forms, purchase orders, etc.
- Responsible for general site clean up and site checks. Handle deficiencies and repairs as needed

- Transporting materials and equipment as needed to sites and the main office

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Strong communicator, able to work and coordinate work with others
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Experience working with tools
- Creative thinking to help solve and mitigate on-site issues that may arise
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control

Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent

- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract

- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel)

Work Conditions

You will primarily work on-site during regular business hours 8-5pm overtime may occasionally be required. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. You could be required to travel to all site locations, including but not limited to Fort Saskatchewan, Devon, Morinville, Stony Plain, Spruce Grove

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
