Our team is growing and we are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong customer service skills and a background in the financial sector to fill an Associate Advisor (AA) role. As an AA you will build trust and inspire confidence with our clients by demonstrating a clear understanding of insurance and wealth strategies and products that will ensure clients can reach their financial goals.
Role Summary:
Reporting directly to the Advisor, the Associate Advisor with be responsible for supporting the Advisor in delivering exceptional client service, building and maintaining strong relationships with current clients, and prospecting for growth of the business.
Responsibilities
· Work with the Advisor and Office Manager to plan and develop strategies to meet sales and production targets.
· Book and conduct meetings with clients and prospective clients.
· Build goals with clients and develop a strategy using touchpoints and products to support the client in reaching those goals.
o Create Investment and Wealth planning strategy recommendations to accomplish their stated goals
o Conduct needs analysis reviews for insurance needs and make appropriate recommendations based on the clients situation.
o Complete and submit Life, Critical Illness, Disability, and Travel Insurance applications for underwriting.
o Complete necessary documentation and follow up to meet regulatory and internal office compliance standards.
· Support the Advisor with client service work and client requests.
· Effectively respond to client inquiries and take ownership of follow-ups
· Work in a respectful manner with all office staff in a team environment.
Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial industry
· Completion of Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and Investment Funds Institute of Canada course (IFIC) or in the process of completion.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong problem solving skills.
· Strong relationship building and business development skills.
· High attention to detail.
· Proven ability to manage your time effectively.
· Ability to work independently and competently in a fast paced environment with multiple responsibilities and competing priorities.
· Ability to think critically and give educated financial advice to help clients meet their goals.
· Ability to multi-task and be flexible while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
· Positive attitude and compose yourself in a professional manner.
Compensation
· The Compensation model is salary + bonus and will vary based on level of experience and licensing
· Total Compensation Package $48,000 - $85,000
· Holiday time and paid sick/ flex days will be negotiated based on experience.
