What is the opportunity?
The role will comprise working in FIG RBC’s Investment Banking team. The associate will support senior bankers in executing corporate finance, M&A and financing transactions covering financial institutions.
What will you do?
- Support execution of transactions, incl. taking the leading role on specific project work streams
- Prepare new business presentations and meetings, and other such duties
- Work with Analysts to develop pitch books and related client materials
- Gathering public information through numerous sources
- Financial modelling and analyses
- Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
- Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Experience of FIG Investment Banking
- Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modeling
- Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
- Highly motivated with demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests
- Ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong team skills
- Strong written and oral communication, as well as, excellent interpersonal
- skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels of organization
