We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Sportsnet Product team and help us define and build the next generation of digital sports experiences. The successful applicant will work with Product Managers on the development of Sportsnet’s product suite, as well as supporting our mobile apps, Sportsnet+ and web. The successful candidate will forge strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Media Brand, Technology & UX, in addition to engaging with external vendors. Strong candidates will be able to balance their own expertise and experience with the inputs from all of these groups, always keeping top of mind: user experience, engagement and revenue growth. 

 

 What you will do... 

  • Execute against the product vision and drive the delivery of next-generation sports products. 
  • Support the development of the product roadmap and align key stakeholders on priorities, sequencing, delivery status and launch plans. 
  • Support the Product Manager in the agile development process by maintaining the prioritized backlog, defining user stories, and ensuring delivery in every sprint. 
  • Work closely with Product Managers and key stakeholders to ensure high-quality video consumption experiences including low latency streaming and video interactivity 
  • Support the Product Manager to unlock new revenue opportunities including dynamic ad insertion. 
  • Collaborate daily with the UX designers and development team members to clarify questions, remove roadblocks and evaluate trade-off in order to continuously deliver app features.  
  • Support agile rituals such as; daily scrums, backlog grooming & sprint planning 
  • Focus on data and customer feedback to deliver exceptional user experiences  
  • Drive and oversee comprehensive user research using various methods 
  • Relentlessly carry out competitive analysis and benchmarking.  
  • Track industry trends, new mobile OS platform features, and share best practices.
