The Product Management function of TMX Datalinx is responsible for ideating, developing, and executing on products and product strategies that will defend and grow revenue. This includes identifying the global addressable markets, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, leading a seamless development process across stakeholders, designing compelling pricing, packaging, and distribution strategies, and working closely with technology, marketing and sales teams in execution and delivery. TMX Datalinx Product Managers have revenue responsibility for the products in their portfolio.
Reporting into the Senior Product Manager, the role will support the Growth Product Management team in strategy development, product design and execution.

Key accountabilities:

Partner with the Senior Product Manager in brainstorming, crafting, developing and implementing a strong suite of successful growth products including:

• Creating discovery cases through client feedback
• Defining product and business requirements and translating these to product specifications
• Partnering with technical delivery teams
• Developing pricing, marketing and sales strategies
• Act as lead for any or all of the above activities

Conduct in-depth research to support new product development, including identifying partners and market trends, if applicable. Coverage includes benchmark & index, ESG and private assets.

• Support product operations in the following areas: Index operations - supporting new index launches, S&P partnership initiatives and Term CORRA benchmark product onboarding
• Work with other internal groups to ensure a smooth daily operation of client engagement and product delivery and be the link to the TMX Datalinx Agile squad on behalf of the Product Team
• Collaborate with the broader Product Management and Commercial Management teams in preparing business cases and files to Senior Management and regulatory approvals
• Designing, developing and executing sales campaigns and be a point of contact with the sales and marketing teams
• Manage the annual planning process for Project Funding

Must haves:

• 3-5 years product management, analysis, sales or operations experience with a preferred background in capital markets
• Securities industry experience - including trading, technology and related functions and knowledge of how broker/dealers, buy side firms, traders, analysts, advisors, retail investors and other industry partners utilize products from TMX
• Experience and knowledge in financial products and other asset classes including, but not limited to equity financial products
• Attention to detail, teamwork, self starter, results oriented, and ability to cope with ambiguity
• Strong presentation and effective communication skills; experience presenting to colleagues, management, clients and partners

Nice to haves:

• Ideal educational background includes business, mathematics or technology degree
• Working progress toward CSC or CFA designation
