Role Overview:

The University of Ottawa seeks applications for Associate Vice President, Human Resources. This senior executive position reports to the Vice President of Finance and Administration and is pivotal in steering the Human Resources Services in line with the university's strategic aspirations. Candidate Profile:

• Extensive Leadership Experience: Prospective candidates should bring over 20 years of senior HR leadership experience, preferably in large, unionized environments.
• Expertise Across HR Functions: Proven success in labour relations, talent management, compensation, benefits, and leading significant organizational change is essential.
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong abilities to communicate effectively and foster teamwork across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic and Innovative Thinking: A history of strategic innovation and achieving beyond the set organizational goals.
• Qualifications: Fluency in Canada's official languages, a graduate degree, and an HR professional designation are required.
