Autobody Estimator

Vickar Ford is recruiting an experienced Autobody Estimator to add to their high-performance team! Their primary role will be to assess vehicle damage and determine cost of repair for insurance claim settlement.

Essential Duties

• Examines damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical or interior damage.
• Estimates cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.
• Reviews repair cost estimates with body shop manager.
• Determines feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders and doors.
• Evaluates practicality of repair as opposed to payment of vehicle market value before accident.
• Determines salvage value on total vehicle loss.
• Prepares insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Estimates cost of repainting, converting to special purposes or customizing undamaged vehicles.
• Other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of repair planning/estimating experience.
• I-Car training and certification a strong asset
• Must be physically able to perform a combination of standing, walking, crouching, bending, reaching and handling/lifting 50+ lbs readily throughout shifts
• Customer service oriented
• A self-motivated team player, seeking long-term career growth
• Must work effective during periods of high workload
