Dobson Chrysler is seeking a self starting, motivated, experienced, outgoing, and service-oriented Sales Consultant to join our team and to become a consultant to clients on finding a vehicle that aligns with their needs.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Consultant is responsible for delivering high quality customer service, maintaining knowledge of current vehicle inventory and meeting sales objectives. The successful candidate is expected to uphold high ethical standards as well as strong customer relations skills.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to all Dealership sales policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Keep on top of all Manufacturer current product knowledge, including vehicle options, incentives and promotions
  • Attend Weekly sales meetings, and trainings as required
  • Meet, Greet and Engage clients with professionalism at all times
  • Have current knowledge of in stock inventory
  • Demonstrate and Sell New and Used vehicles as outlined in the Sales process including: Needs assessment, selection, Test drives, presentation of numbers
  • Assist in Snow Removal and other lot maintenance as required
  • Input prospects into DMS system for follow up
  • Follow Up, as required, on all prospects within a timely manner as outlined in the sales process
  • Ensure all sales process steps are adhered to including turnover to Business Office
  • Perform other duties and tasks as required
  • Maintains customer confidentiality in accordance to CASL, PIPEDA and The Privacy Act
  • Present numbers to client on new vehicle in a professional and comprehensive form.
  • Develop and maintain a follow up system to retain current business and to gain new business
  • Upon Delivery of vehicle to client – Review vehicle to make sure it is up to Dealership standards for cleanliness, and ensure the client understands the standard operating features as well as any technology features.

  • Health & Safety:
  • All Employees are required to take part in the Orientation process before joining the floor
  • All Employees are required to work in a responsible and safe manner and to report any Health & Safety Concerns to their direct report

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Prior experience in Automotive sales is considered an asset, but not required.

Working conditions:

Sales Consultants works both indoors and outdoors, moving about the Dealership and outside space to communicate with the Clients and other Employees. The Sales Consultants will work closely with the New and Used Car departments, the Finance and Insurance Departments to complete paperwork and to maintain the sales process.

Selected Weekend, Evening and Holiday hours will be required.

Hours of Operation:

Monday and Thursday 8am-6pm

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday - 8am-6pm

Saturday – 8am-2pm
