Bakery Associate

Requirements:

• Must have - Food Handler Certificate
• Minimum 1 year experience in the food industry
• Weekends availability
• Holidays

Responsibilities:

• Greet, welcome, and create a comfortable and pleasant environment for all guests in the shop.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Receive and process payments from guests, and open, close, and balance the cash till after the end of the day
• Assist customers with product selection and offer recommendations based on their needs
• Take and fulfill orders from outside vendors (such as UberEats, Skip the Dishes, DoorDash) with speed and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Answer customer inquiries in person and over the phone
• Prepare and serve hot and fresh items from the kitchen menu.
• Prepare and serve food items (such as bagels, salads, and sandwiches) according to guests’ liking.
• Clean, prep, and slice fruits and vegetables for salad bar and sandwich bar, prepare specialty cream cheeses, tuna salad, egg salad, and chicken salad for use in food service.
• Coordinate and assist fellow employees to meet guest needs and help other employees ensure optimal operation of the bakery

• Cashiering: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Customer Service: Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues effectively
• Organizational: Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and organized work area
• Phone Etiquette: Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
