Bakery Associate

Wild Blue Bakery is a 100% Gluten Free bakery located at 366 Oakwood Avenue in Toronto, Ontario.

We are looking to add a creative, fun and friendly individual to our growing team. Good candidates are reliable, responsible and comfortable working independently or in a group setting.

This position is best suited to someone who can commit to working Thursday and one weekend shift. (Saturday or Sunday, 9:00am to 4:30pm.)

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and always provide exceptional service
• Handle Point of Sale system
• Pack and prepare orders
• Assist customers with placing custom orders
• Manage inventory of packaging materials and supplies
• Maintain a clean, safe, appealing space for customers and employees

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a customer service environment
• Canadian employment authorization
• Familiarity with handling cash and using Point of Sale systems
• Ability to multitask, with strong attention to detail
• Communicate and work well with others
• Food Handlers Certificate (Would be an asset)
• General knowledge of Celiac Disease, Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity & Gluten Free Products (Would be an asset)

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Standing/walking 6-8 hours
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
• May require the use of a ladder

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed
