As a Bakery Operative, you will support our bakers in ensuring our bagels are properly sent through our bagel oven, with accordance with customer demand. Ensuring that all stations are cleaned and prepped, as well as ensuring all the bakers are supported, thus ensuring a strong bakery team.
Requirements:
- Shifts start at 8am-10am, thus vehicle is required
- Baking Experience: 1 year minimum
- Food Handler Certification
- Easily commute to 18295 Yonge St, East Gwillimbury (Our Location)

Responsibilities:
- Enforce all company policies.
- Understand food safety and quality control (know how finished product looks, tastes, and smells).
- Food quality – FIFO (food rotation).
- Learn to prepare dough for bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Learn and assist with mixing dough
- Understand all food temperatures
- Prepare special orders
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Accurately and properly proof pastries and breads
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Operate machinery
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
