AddressManitoba’s oldest golf club, with the province’s newest golf course, Southwood Golf & Country Club (www.southwood.ca) is currently seeking a qualified individual as Banquet Manager. The position requires hands on management of all banquet planning and supervision of functions. The Candidate must also possess food & beverage service capabilities and the ability to manage staff. A “service” mindset is a requirement to provide support to other staff members.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all banquets and functions. We require a hands-on person whose responsibilities involve supervising service personnel to assure member and guest satisfaction through proper banquet service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supervising all banquet staff.
- Ensuring professional, responsive and friendly service to members & guests.
- Developing detailed plans and implementing procedures for special club events, weddings and banquet functions.
- Assuming closing manager or manager on duty responsibilities when assigned.
- Ensuring that all appropriate charges are billed correctly to each event.
- Performing other tasks as requested.
