Would you like to work in an independent business with the ability to initiate and implement new ideas? Our family-run business has a small team of amazing members who work collectively to maintain a friendly, clean and welcoming environment for the local community. We, TEAM Bullet take pride in our 23+ year coffee shop and love what we do.

We are currently seeking friendly, dedicated, motivated, hard-working, and EXPERIENCED Barista’s to join our team in a seasonal full-time or part-time position (could turn into full-time if you’re interested). We need a few Barista’s with flexible, but very reliable schedule to work 3-5 shifts a week (including weekends) approximately 18hrs+ /week to start. However, hours will vary depending on TEAM/ in shop requirements.

A few things for you to realistically ponder before applying:

Are you passionate about coffee? Do you enjoy small chat while serving loyal customers? Are you an early riser? Shifts begin asa early as 7am. Can you be on your feet for long stretches of time? This is a coffee/ ice cream shop and we are constantly moving to provide the best and most efficient customer service. Are you dependable? Can you work as a team player and independently?

This position isn't just about making a great latte, we work collectively as a team and share daily/ weekly operational duties for all involved to efficiently succeed. Simply put, we are looking for all around great people to join us.

Job Description:

This Barista position is responsible collectively with TEAM Bullet for the following store operations, service, product & training:

• provide outstanding, very friendly, kind and outgoing customer service.
• be a Team player, dedicated and always practice respect.
• cash is accepted as a form of payment from our customers in store, therefore you must be comfortable with cash handling.
• proficient at preforming all POS duties.
• execute all front and back of shop functions such as coffee making as well as food preparations.
• follow all opening and closing procedures thoroughly.
• assist to maintain a tidy and efficient well stocked shop.
• assist to maintain food and beverage inventory levels.
• ensure the Bullet food and beverage recipes are maintained.
• help team members maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the front and back of shop.
• customer tips shouldn’t be expected, as it’s a true bonus and says a lot about those providing customer service, but they are 100% for the Barista(s) and shared between the TEAM members working the same shift.
• must comply with The City of Calgary Covid Bylaws when they are implemented. Supporting individual 'Freedom of Choice', TEAM Bullet will wear masks when required and are all fully vaccinated.

Candidate qualifications for this position:

• must be able to work weekday mornings or afternoon shifts as well as weekends. Our operating hours are from 7:30am-3:30pm, seven days a week and closed most Statutory Holidays. This support shift may start as early as 7:00am and as late as 4:30pm.
• must be friendly and outgoing with all our of our patrons.
• shall be well organized, detailed-oriented and able to multi-task.
• must have effective problem solving skills and decision making abilities.
• must be able to remain in a stationary position during majority of your shift.
• routinely moves equipment / boxes weighing up to 40lbs.
• must have fluent verbal and written English communication skills.
• must have fun and truly enjoy your Barista position or please apply elsewhere ('Life is too short' not to enjoy what you do).
