Behavior Support - Before & After School Care

We are looking for a Behavior Support to join our team!

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must possess Alberta Childcare Certification (1, 2 or 3) & have prior experience working with children between of 6 to 12 years of age.

Responsibilities:

• Create safe, happy, and fun learning environment for our children
• Proactively provide guidance and support holistic child development
• Observe, assess and maintain records of each child's emotional, social and behavioral support areas
• Focus on and work closely with kids based on their individual behavior intervention requirements
• Be willing to step into ratio as required at the campus

• Engage & build positive & respectful relationships with our staff, families and the community by creating trust and always acting with integrity.
• Ensure that the center facilities are always safe for our children and help the Campus Lead to strictly comply to licensing standards at all times
• Act with compassion while upholding Summit Kids policies and standards.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least 3 years of experience working with school aged children between the ages of 6-12 years.
• Prior experience as a behavior interventionist/ Child & Youth worker is an asset.
• Education in the fields of Psychology or Behavioral Intervention will be asset
• Clear & Valid criminal record check with vulnerable sector, taken in the last 6 months.
• Valid First Aid Certification (don't worry we'll hook you up!).
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and daily access to a vehicle. The position will have to be comfortable driving between various Summit campuses in Calgary
• Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication skill (English)
