Salary Range: $69,140.00-$72,779.00 annually

As a Benefits Administrator supporting the Total Rewards Team, your responsibilities will encompass managing various services and support activities. Your proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential and you will need to be adept at using advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and IF formulas to effectively manage and format data. In addition to these technical skills, your focus will be on detailed administration tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining the JIRA ticketing system, and more. Along with daily Benefits Administration, strong communication skills are crucial for preparing documents and correspondences effectively. Moreover, addressing questions and concerns promptly is vital to your success. You’ll interact directly with associates, providing timely and accurate information about benefits. A customer-centric approach, coupled with excellent communication skills, will be key in this role. As a Benefits Administrator, you will be asked to manage confidential and sensitive matters, supporting associates during critical and impactful life events with kindness, compassion, and urgency.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Hondaflex benefits including benefits re-enrolment, pension, and retirement planning.
  • Assisting associates at the Help Desk, preparing letters of employment, and assisting with associates at the kiosks with ad hoc support requests.
  • Supporting various department activities/projects, as required.
  • Continuous improvement projects as assigned.
  • Administration of Service Awards, Baby Gifts, Bereavement Condolences
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries submitted to the Ask Us Help Desk and the Hondaflex email inbox
  • Administration of over-age dependent certifications, audits, communications, & eligibility
  • Collection of arrears payments for benefits and Honda Associate Vehicle Program
  • Meet with associates to assist with Life Events, Benefit selections, new hire enrolment etc.
  • Filing and data entry.
  • Administration of Life Insurance, Critical Illness, and Accident Insurance claims process
  • Maintenance and monitoring of JIRA ticketing system
  • Preparation of documents, communications and correspondence surveys, invoices, remittances, etc.

Requirements:

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resource Management or a minimum of three (3) years applicable Human Resource work related experience
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment legislation (i.e. ESA, Human Rights) with demonstrated knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations governing employment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel; Use advanced functions (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Formulas), manage and format data

Preferred Experience:

  • Working towards or possessing CHRP or CEBS designation would be an asset
  • Experience using PeopleSoft HRMS and Kronos Time Management
  • Understanding of benefits and pension administration/programs.
  • Experience multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience delivering high quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience completing detail-oriented tasks.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate detailed information via email, in person, and through formal presentations
  • Strong moral and ethical judgement in decision making, along with a commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with heavy email, spreadsheets, all Microsoft Office products

Job Related Must Haves:

  • Willing and able to work overtime, including weekends, sometimes on short notice
  • Willing to cancel pre-booked vacations as required
  • Willing and able to travel as required
  • Willing and able to support production (occasional yard sweeps)

Additional Information:

HCM provides a competitive salary structure and starting wage based on previous, related experience. Additionally, HCM provides weekly, monthly, and annual attendance bonuses, equaling a potential additional $1.40 per hour; a Team Achievement Bonus paid two times per year; an industry leading Defined Contribution (DC) pension that includes company contributions and company matching; and a comprehensive benefit plan that provides choice and flexibility with the cost subsidized by company contributions. HCM also provides shift premiums paid at 5% per hour up to $1.70 for afternoon shift, and 10% per hour up to $3.40 for the overnight shift.
