Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Accounts Receivable and Credit Supervisor, this position is responsible to oversee and manage the assigned TIM-BR MART’s Accounts Receivable including application of payments, reconciliation of accounts and collection of past due amounts.
Description of Responsibilities
I. Cash Application
- To perform cash application for TIM-BR MART member accounts.
- To apply cheques or transfers to outstanding invoices and balance the amount to zero.
- To verify and ensure the proper use of information provided.
- Prepare adjustments (debit memos or credit memos) to account as required.
II. Process Invoice Adjustment Forms (IAF’s)
- To receive and/or prepare invoice adjustment forms.
- To verify amounts and information with the dealer.
- To ensure that the forms are provided to Accounts Payable.
- To follow up with Accounts Payable for receipt of corresponding credit note and apply to dealer account accordingly.
III. Communication with Dealers and Collection of Overdue Amounts
- Follow up with dealers regarding disputed amounts, short-payments and other deductions or
overpayments.
- Ensure compliance with standard payment terms are being adhered to and advise dealers accordingly.
- Ensure old or overdue amounts are discussed and collected from dealers.
Working Conditions
Hours of work: Although the duties included in this function are intended to be executed within a regular weekly 37.50 hour schedule, the incumbent is responsible for the timely completion of the tasks under his/her responsibility which may cause for the incumbent to work with an irregular weekly schedule, including one exceeding the regular weekly 37.50 hour allotment.

Qualifications
- Minimum college level certificate in accounting and/or training in fundamental accounting principles
- Minimum 2 years previous Accounts Receivable experience
- Bilingual in French and English
- Knowledge of full-cycle accounting
- Be well organized and able to prioritize duties to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated abilities to work within a team
- Possess a high level of attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Accountability & Authority
The Bilingual Accounts Receivable Clerk is accountable to oversee and manage the assigned TIM-BR MART’s Accounts Receivable including application of payments, reconciliation of accounts and collection of past due amounts. The Bilingual Accounts Receivable Clerk is assigned authority limits by the Accounts Receivable and Credit Supervisor in accordance with regional and company policies.
