Bookkeeper

Our projects are found all throughout North America including breweries, wineries, cideries, distilleries, coffee, water and many more food & beverage industries.

Reporting to the Lead Bookkeeper, Owner and Operations Manager, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for bookkeeping and financial monetary controls and will be an active representative in general reporting. The ideal candidate must be motivated, energetic and collaborative with all department managers to ensure all financial obligations are up to date and accurate.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies
• Process payroll and monitor time clock/ employee punches
• Prepare financial statements
• Conduct account analysis and reconcile accounts as needed
• Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation
• Utilize accounting software to record transactions and generate financial reports
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and resolve any discrepancies
• All other duties assigned by the Lead Bookkeeper or Management

Essential Skills:

• Demonstrate exceptional confidentiality and privacy regarding all accounting activities
• Superb verbal and written skills to communicate with all levels of organization, including the executive team
• Excellent company-customer communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Able to learn concepts quickly
• High level of knowledge with Microsoft Office, including high proficiency in Excel
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to work both independently and as a team
• Excellent time management with follow-ups and email correspondence

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years experience as a Bookkeeper
• Post-Secondary Education in a related field required
• QuickBooks experience is required
• Inventory experience is considered an asset
• Experience working with foreign currency

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
